The Hahnemühle mould-made Ingres papers, named after the famous French painter Jean Auguste Dominique Inges (1780-1867) are produced on a cylinder mould with deckled edges. Due to its fine-ribbed and toothed surface, this paper features a modest look. Ingres is perfectly suited for the dry drawing and painting techniques, such as pencil, chalks, pastel and red chalk. Hahnemuhle Bugra, 33" x 41", 130 gsm is a type of paper that is mouldmade. It is made in Germany by Hahnemuhle, with two genuine deckle and two straight edges, with 100% alpha cellulose, duo-surface paper. One side of Bugra has laid lines with a tooth like texture and the other side is smooth. It is acid free and age resistant, archival quality.

Hahnemuhle Copperplate, comes in 2 sizes 22" x 30" and 31" x 47" both with weights of 300 gsm. Copperplate is mould-made from Germany with 100% high alpha cellulose. It is neutral pH, chlorine/acid free with 4 natural deckled edges and medium textured surface. Copperplate has no surface sizing at all with very little internal sizing. This technique gives the paper a soft handle with fantastic absorbing qualities allowing it to need less soaking in preparation for printing.

You definitely do not need to soak this paper overnight, just simply misting or dampening with a wet blotter will suffice. This paper has the ability to take deep embossings without cracking around the plate edges and still dry flat after printing.

Masa 21" x 31", 86 gsm (often referred to as affordable Hosho). Masa paper is a type of machine-made Japanese art paper made of sulphite pulp and is acid free. The texture of this paper has a soft feel on one side and a smooth feel on the other. This paper is perfect for student grade projects and has internal sizing and should be slightly dampened prior to printing.

Masa paper is soft and white, has internal and surface sizing. Masa can be used for a wide range of art techniques, including sumi painting, watercolor, and printmaking. One side is smoother and shinier than the other. Sometimes masa paper is called rice paper, however it is made from sulphite pulp.

A popular technique with watercolor painters is to crumple up a sheet of masa paper, put it into a container of clean water for thirty seconds or so, straighten it out, and then drop some paint onto it while it's still wet. The Masa paper becomes a textured, and wrinkled paper, with random colors of the paint you dropped on it.

You can then flatten the sheet out, and leave it to dry. Be sure to mark which is the shiny side before you crumple the paper, so you can use the shiny side to flatten the sheet out.

In the 90's when digital printing started to become popular Somerset was one of the first fine art paper to gain popularity in this new world. Due to this Somerset became available in more sizes and weights to meet the demand. This then led to the inkjet coated version, Somerset Enhanced Velvet, which is an important paper of fine art giclee printing.

Cosmos Blotting comes in 24" x 38" is totally unsized (meaning no internal or external sizing) with a heavy weight of 360 gsm. This paper is primarily used for dampening art paper in preparation for printing. You place two sheets of this paper in-between the printing paper you are wanting to print on. The Cosmos Blotting is damp/wet and you typically leave this laying overnight so the printing paper will take in enough moisture.

Cosmos Blotting can also be used to help remove dampening printmaking paper. If you print on a paper and it is still quite damp, you can place it between two sheets of Cosmos Blotting. This will pull the wetness from the print.

This paper is made in the USA from high alpha cellulose. It has a rough surface and very absorbent. This paper has also been used for other art projects such as, paper-casting or molding shapes and sculpture pieces.

Coventry Rag is made in the USA with 100% cotton, neutral pH, acid free, buffered with calcium carbonate. Kinwashi (also known as Ogura Natural) comes in White or Cream 25 x 38, 30 gsm is machine-made in Japan from with manila hemp and kozo long swirling fibers. It has cut edges and the paper is lightweight yet durable with texture fibers on one side and smooth on the other side.

The Kinwashi White has small fibers and the Cream has long fibers throughout the paper.

This paper is slightly lighter than Ginwashi which allows it to be used for many art projects. You can use this type of paper for any overlay application, lampshades, collages, shoji screens and book arts. Chiri Natural 25 x 37, 35 gsm is known as one of the most essential papers made in Thailand. It is made from locally cultivated mulberry fibers which are harvested from living mulberry trees. Okawara Student Grade White, 18 x 25, 51 gsm this is acid free and handmade of kozo and hemp fibers with 4 deckle edges and a laid finish. Okawara Student Grade is a relative thick Japanese paper making it deal for book arts, printmaking, conservation and brush painting.

Sekishu 24" x 39" is 35 gsm and white/cream. Sekishu is one of the oldest hand made papers in the world. It is made from Kozo, fibers and has a cream based white color. This paper has a feathered edge when water torn which allows it to blend with the paper which it is being mended.

Awagami Shiramine Select 17x 20, 110 gsm is made from 30% kozo, 15% hemp and 55% High Alpha Cellulose. One side of the heavy paper is highly textured with a soft feel, the opposite side of the paper is smooth.

The paper has four naturally feathered deckled edges. This paper is off white in color. The textured side is used for printmaking applications, while the smooth side can be used for painting and drawing.

This fine art paper has a relative thickness and generous sizing which allows it to be a versatile paper for many art mediums including printmaking, painting and drawing.

Awagami Hakuho Select 17 x 20, 220 gsm is made of 45% kozo and 55% cotton. This sturdy paper is the first fine art paper to feature this unique blend of kozo and cotton fibers.
