Rives BFK Rives BFK Printmaking Paper

Rives BFK is made with 100% cotton and has 4 deckled edges (2 natural deckles and 2 simulated, torn at the final stage of the printmaking process). Rives BFK is mouldmade in France and is ideal for printmaking. Its smooth surface and soft feel with a light sizing allows to display every detail beautifully.

Rives BFK has a smooth, absorbent surface and with it being made from 100% cotton it gives it a soft feel. Rives is perfect for many art techniques: lithography, silkscreen, letterpress, intalgio, pastel & charcoal and other techniques. This paper has been around since the beginning of the 19th century. This paper was named after the owners of the Rives Mill in France from their initials: Blanchet Fr
ères & Kiebler (BFK).

Rives Heavyweight and Lightweight Rives Heavyweight and Lightweight

Rives Heavyweight and Lightweight is mouldmade in Europe with 100% cotton. These papers like the BFK are designed to have a wide range of fine art printmaking techniques. It is internally sized and has minimal surface sizing. Rives is perfect for intaglio, engraving, litho, calligraphy, letterpress, etching, relief printing, silkscreen, pen and ink, and all block printing. It is a very versatile paper.

Rives comes with a unique trait for its edges. The 26" x 19" version has 2 natural deckled edges and one tear on the 19" side and one cut edge on the 26" side. the 26" x 40" is grain long with 2 natural deckles, but has 2 tear deckles along the short side (26").

Arches 88 Arches 88 Silkscreen Paper, 22" x 30" 300 gsm / 140 lbs

Arches 88 22" x 30" 300 gsm 140 lbs is mouldmade in France with 100% cotton and has four deckled edges. This paper was originally developed for silkscreening art process. However, as the years have gone by it has transitioned to being used for many printmaking processes.

This paper is resilient for printmaking and due to this is why it is an excellent choice for silkscreen. Keep in mind this paper is unsized. You can use this paper for litho, silkscreen, etching, pencil and other art projects.

Lenox 100 Lenox 100, 250 gsm

Lenox 100 250 gsm has a smooth white surface and works great for silkscreening, litho, etching and embossing. This paper was the first domestic paper to be made with 100% cotton. Lenox 100 is machine made with no deckled edges or a watermark.

Lenox 100 has an off white shade with a medium textured surface gives it a great piece of paper to work with for a reasonable price. This paper has been around for more than 40 years and it still is a great paper to work with for many different art applications. It is made in the USA, neutral pH, acid free and has a subtle texture.

Legion Yupo Watercolor Paper Legion Yupo Polypropylene Paper 26" X 20"

Yupo Watercolor paper is a synthetic paper that is machine-made in the USA with 100% polypropylene. Using this material for making the paper gives it a surface that repels water. Yupo is waterproof, stain resistant and duable. It has a bright white smooth finish that gives artists the flexibility to work with it in many different ways to give it a unique and creative result.

Yupo is very smooth and it gives it a unique feeling when you are to draw or paint on it than traditional watercolor paper. Another unique trait for this paper is the surface may be wiped clean to restore the original white of the sheet. This is a fantastic feature for beginner artists. Yupo also is great for more advanced artists and experimental artists as its uniqueness allows the artists to have a different perspective when creating works of art.

Yupo slick, smooth non absorbent features will give the artist a drastic change in the way you would traditional paint, print or draw. This sheet of paper allows you to be able to capture artist techniques that are impossible on conventional watercolor and drawing papers.

Another unique trait is Yupos ability to for lifting. It has the ability to return to a painting and redo ares over and over even if it has been months since you touched the work of art as water activates the paint. You are able to build layers of paint like an oil painter does on a canvas. Then you are able to remove them to reveal the white of the sheet. Once your art is fully complete you can spray it with matte-clear finishing spray to seal and protect it. Keep in mind to only do this after your works of art is finalized as it is very difficult to make changes after it has been sealed.

You may use Yupo for Acrylic painting, alcohol inks, debossing, monotype, offset, oil pastels, pencil/graphite, silkscreen, watercolor and sumi-e ink.

Arches Cover Arches Cover Printmaking Paper, 22" x 30", 250gsm

Arches Cover Printmaking Paper 22" x 30" 250 gsm is mould-made from 100% cotton and has been around the art community for many years. This paper has two watermarks and two natural deckle edges.

It has internal sizing with minimal surface sizing. Due to this technique this paper does not need to be completely soaked overnight prior to printing. Instead you just need to dampen the paper. This does not mean you cannot soak the paper overnight it is merely up to the individual art professional.

You may use this paper for all printmaking techniques and it is rather versatile because it is possible to print this paper: wet, damp or dry with subtle texture.
