Rives BFK is mouldmade in France from 100% cotton, acid free and has 4 deckled edges (2 natural deckles and 2 torn, done at the final stage of the papermaking process). Its smooth surface, soft feel and light sizing allows it to display every detail beautifully.

Rives is perfect for many printmaking techniques: lithography, silkscreen, letterpress, intaglio, pastel & charcoal. This paper has been around since the beginning of the 19th century and was named after the owners of the Rives Mill in France from their initials: Blanchet Fr
ères & Kiebler (BFK).

Rives Heavyweight and Lightweight is mouldmade in Europe with 100% cotton. These papers like the BFK are designed to have a wide range of fine art printmaking techniques. It is internally sized and has minimal surface sizing. Rives is perfect for intaglio, engraving, litho, calligraphy, letterpress, etching, relief printing, silkscreen, pen and ink, and all block printing. It is a very versatile paper.

Rives comes with a unique trait for its edges. The 26" x 19" version has 2 natural deckled edges and one tear on the 19" side and one cut edge on the 26" side. the 26" x 40" is grain long with 2 natural deckles, but has 2 tear deckles along the short side (26").

Stonehenge Paper Legion Stonehenge Paper

Stonehenge paper is made from 100% cotton. Stonehenge was created to rival the more expensive mouldmade paper from Europe. This paper was created in 1972 for the printmaking community but it quickly gained popularity by more areas of work in the artist community.

Stonehenge has now became worldwide known for paper that works fantastically in many applications in the fine art world. Making it versatile and affordable for not only the professional artist but also great choices for aspiring students.

Stonehenge is the most preferred cotton paper of choice for Colored Pencil. This paper is great for a wide variety of art techniques like wax and oiled based colored pencils without any build up. Stonehenge allows the colors to penetrate and absorb into the paper. It is also excellent for silkscreen with the ability to take on 50-75 applications of colors being printed one at a time.

Hahnemuhle Ingres Hahnemühle Ingres, 19" x 25" 100 gsm

Hahnemuhle Ingres, 19" x 25" 100 gsm in 12 colors. Hahnemuhle Ingres also comes in White, 31" x 41" 150gsm and is mould-made in Germany and has 4 deckled edges with a neutral pH. This paper is made of 100% Alpha Cellulose and has a toothed finished with an even-laid formation.


The Hahnemühle mould-made Ingres papers, named after the famous French painter Jean Auguste Dominique Inges (1780-1867) are produced on a cylinder mould with deckled edges. Due to its fine-ribbed and toothed surface, this paper features a modest look. Ingres is perfectly suited for the dry drawing and painting techniques, such as pencil, chalks, pastel and red chalk. You may also used Hahnemuhle Ingres paper in many printing techniques.

The individual sheets are deckle-edged on all four sides and available in 12 colors in the 19" x 25" 100 gsm but comes in 31" x 41" 150 gsm in White. They are not only well suited for drawing and painting but also for different printing techniques or the use as exclusive envelope or cover material.

Hahnemuhle Bugra Hahnemühle Bugra, 33" x 41", 130 gsm

Hahnemuhle Bugra, 33" x 41", 130 gsm is a type of paper that is mouldmade. It is made in Germany by Hahnemuhle, with two genuine deckle and two straight edges, with 100% alpha cellulose, duo-surface paper. One side of Bugra has laid lines with a tooth like texture and the other side is smooth. It is acid free and age resistant, archival quality.

Bugra can be used for many different art projects. It has a wide variety of artistic possibilities any artist would enjoy working with this type of paper: dry painting and drawing, several printing techniques, pastels, charcoal, graphite, and other drawing techniques.

Hahnemuhle Copperplate 30 Hahnemühle Copperplate, 300 gsm

Hahnemuhle Copperplate, comes in 2 sizes 22" x 30" and 31" x 47" both with weights of 300 gsm. Copperplate is mould-made from Germany with 100% high alpha cellulose. It is neutral pH, chlorine/acid free with 4 natural deckled edges and medium textured surface. Copperplate has no surface sizing at all with very little internal sizing. This technique gives the paper a soft handle with fantastic absorbing qualities allowing it to need less soaking in preparation for printing.

You definitely do not need to soak this paper overnight, just simply misting or dampening with a wet blotter will suffice. This paper has the ability to take deep embossings without cracking around the plate edges and still dry flat after printing.

Hahnemuhle Copperplate has a watermark of their encircled Rooster. This paper is ideal for all types of printmaking techniques. Copperplate is a less expensive mouldmade paper without compromisiing its deluxe appeal and performance on the press.

Arches Cover Printmaking Paper 22" x 30" 250 gsm is mould-made from 100% cotton and has been around the art community for many years. This paper has two watermarks and two natural deckle edges.

It has internal sizing with minimal surface sizing. Due to this technique this paper does not need to be completely soaked overnight prior to printing. Instead you just need to dampen the paper. This does not mean you cannot soak the paper overnight it is merely up to the individual art professional.

You may use this paper for all printmaking techniques and it is rather versatile because it is possible to print this paper: wet, damp or dry with subtle texture.

This paper is primarily a printmaking paper, however, many artists throughout the art community have been using it for many other art techniques: pencil, pastel, charcoal and others.

Somerset Paper Somerset Printmaking Paper

Somerset printmaking paper is a very popular grade produced by the historic St. Cuthbert's Mill in the UK. This paper has been around since the early 1970's. Legion in the 90's worked with the mill based on the demands of the printmaking community to make the limited range of Somerset to become the most complete offering of mouldmade printmaking paper ever manufactured by one mill.

Somerset is great for drawing due to the soft handle and supple feel in all three surfaces it offers. It is also known in the stationery industry and working well with letterpress, engraving, thermography and embossing.

In the 90's when digital printing started to become popular Somerset was one of the first fine art paper to gain popularity in this new world. Due to this Somerset became available in more sizes and weights to meet the demand. This then led to the inkjet coated version, Somerset Enhanced Velvet, which is an important paper of fine art giclee printing.

Pescia Paper Pescia 22 x 30 300 gsm

Pescia 22" x 30" 300 gsm is made with 100% cotton from Italy. This paper is smooth with internal sizing but has very little surface sizing. This makes Pescia ideal for all printmaking processes. Pescia has deckled on all four sides and displays the watermark of the old CM logo. It is smooth and supple to the touch.

Pescia can be used for intaglio, messotint, aquatint, etching, woodblock, stone litho, etching, silkscreen, drawing, graphite, colored pencil, pastel and charcoal.

Legion Coventry Rag paper was created in 1971 to meet the needs of artists and silkscreen printing. This paper was design to be able to take on an abundance of overlay printing. It can take upwards of 50-75 colors.

Coventry is internally sized with some surface sizing. This paper is unique and a pleasure to work with for artists. The amount of art techniques it can provide for makes it one of the more versatile papers to be used by artists.

Coventry Rag is made in the USA with 100% cotton, neutral pH, acid free, buffered with calcium carbonate. You can use this paper for calligraphy, hand litho, intaglio, letterpress, offset, drawing, watercolor, silkscreen and other techniques. Coventry Rag is a great paper and has been used for decades.

Ginwashi Cream Awagami Ginwashi Cream, 25 x 38, 39 gsm

Awagami Ginwashi Cream, 25 x 38, 39 gsm has cut edges and is machine-made of manila hemp and kozo with short silver and natural fibers with a creamy natural background. This paper is acid-free and absolutely stunning which makes a great addition to many art projects.

Ginwashi is lightweight, the addition of the short silver and natural fibers adds to the texture of the semi-transparent paper. The textured finish is on one side, the other side is mostly smooth.

This paper is mostly used for printmaking, painting and digital printing. Using Ginwashi for an overlaying effect, or layering technique is a very effective decorative use of the paper.

Awagami Shiramine Select 17x 20, 110 gsm is made from 30% kozo, 15% hemp and 55% High Alpha Cellulose. One side of the heavy paper is highly textured with a soft feel, the opposite side of the paper is smooth.

The paper has four naturally feathered deckled edges. This paper is off white in color. The textured side is used for printmaking applications, while the smooth side can be used for painting and drawing.

This paper has four natural deckled edges. The paper is one of the finest Japanese papers available. Awagami uses purely natural materials, so there may be slight variations in the paper.

The Awagami Okawara Select paper has a warm natural color. This paper is of medium weight and has a subtle surface texture, on one side. Making the soft side ideal for various printmaking techniques. The other side is smooth, ideal for drawing with pencil and graphite.

Kozo, a type of mulberry, is the most commonly used fiber in making Japanese paper. The kozo branches are boiled and stripped of their outer bark, and then dried. The fibers are then boiled with lye to remove the starch, fat and tannin, and then placed in running water to remove the lye
